Following are the
results of the balloting regarding the ratification of the new
Constitution.

In order to be ratified, the
Constitution needed a 2/3 yes vote of the entire pool as well as undergraduates
and graduates separately.
Total vote: 55 yes (83%), 11 no
(17%), 4 abstain.
Undergraduates: 41 yes (80%), 10 no
(20%), 3 abstain.
Graduates: 9 yes (90%), 1 no (10%),
1 abstain.
(The remainder of votes were from
resident faculty.)
The Constitution also needed a
quorum of 1/2 for the results to be valid. The quorum was 66 and there
were 70 ballots received. The Constitution is therefore
RATIFIED.

In order to be passed, the amendment
needed a 2/3 yes vote of the entire pool of voters.
Amendment: 41 yes (69%), 18 no
(31%), 11 abstain.
The amendment also needed a quorum
of 2/3 for the results to be valid. The quorum was 88 and there were 70
ballots received. The amendment is therefore NOT
APPROVED.

These results are certified as of
2:47 AM on April 6, 2005. The protest period is one week. Protest
procedures are attached. More detailed vote tallies are available upon
request. In the absence of a valid protest, the Constitution is in effect
immediately from the time of ratification.
